Wednesday, June 11, 2014
Today, the aviation authorities in Malaysia published a 47-page document, in relation to the past records of flight MH370. The satellite data is used to determine where the missing Boeing 777 was last, before it disappeared from the radar.
The data come from the British company Inmarsat. The Malaysian Minister of Transport, Hishammuddin Hussein, confirmed this during a visit to the new international airport in Kuala Lumpur.
The families of the victims of Flight MH370 had asked for more openness/transparency. Parts of the data are given also to the families
Researchers mentioned that the aircraft had contact with a satellite during the flight. Now researchers assume that the aircraft sank in the West Australian coast to the bottom of the ocean.
