Aircraft cracks mid-flight
Tuesday, October 14, 2014
Passengers of yesterday’s American Airlines flight 2293 were scared for their lives as the plane began to tear apart mid-flight.
Half an hour after take-off in San Francisco passengers heard a loud ripping noise in the Boeing 747 as the aircraft walls tore open in row 14. According to passenger James Wilson ‘’The aircraft began to shake terribly’’. The picture above was taken Mr Wilson who posted it on his Facebook wall.
The pilot was immediately informed and then had to perform an emergency landing. Apparently the crack was caused by a problem in the ventilation duct.
