British Airways has announced that from September it plans to resume flights to popular tourist destination Sharm El-Sheikh.
The service was previously suspended after a Russian plane crash killed 224 passengers. The decision to resume the service is still awaiting approval from the British Government.
Since the Russian plane disaster, insurance for Egyptian airports has increased by 80% and has seen the Egyptian tourism industry suffer greatly.
The news was reported by Russia’s sputnik news agency.
